Who reads my blog?

, posted: 3-Apr-2006 19:51

Ok I'm not quite sure how many people read this blog and most of the time my feed reader shows 0 when I'm checking! I am having some hard time maintaining 2 blogs my own http://www.dan.net.nz and this one mainly due to lack of post ideas :-( Yet I would like to post more regularly here for reasons such as these

but to succeed I need a little help from my readers! Whats the point of writing something that no one will read?

So if you read this blog and want to see more coming here, feel free to drop me a line or a comment :-)

Update: Tony Hughes pointed out the page views in the user profile, I had totally forgotten about this and never noticed since it till Tony mentioned it. It surely increased my morale a bit!

So to all my readers, stay tuned for more posts on this blog, and if I seem to be a bit too quiet, check my other blog for posts by me.

Your feed reader may show zero, but that just says no one is using RSS to read your blog. I ready around two dozen blogs manually. On your profile page, what does it say for page views? Divide that by days or posts and you should get a good idea of how many people are reading you...

Yeah I know that hence the "!" ;-) It showed 2 readers at one point but that was just 1 single day :-) I never noticed the page views thing! And was surprised by how much I saw I visit blogs manually a lot too, including mine, but surely not ~1200 times maybe I did 20-50 manual visits :-)

Perhaps you could use Statcounter (www.statcounter.com) to have an idea of readership distribution, referrals, etc... As for RSS, the main Geekzone Blog RSS (with the 50 most recent posts for all blogs) is getting smoe momentum now and having more readers evey day.
