Hello World

The glory of shopping online Part I

By  , in , posted: 29-Dec-2006 12:03

90% of Everything I buy, is ordered online. Most of the time the service is good, some other times it has been ok. But nothing compared to http://pconlineshop.co.nz/. I ordered a set of Logitech x-530 5.1 surround speakers from them on the 26th of December. At the time their working days were the 27th of December to the 29th of December. So I order them, made payment and waited, expecting payment confirmation on the 27th and shipping information.

So I wait, and nothing turns up. No confirmation turns up on the 28th either, and no replies to an email I sent aswell.
And now when I look at their site, it appears that their open days have changed from 27th-29th, to 27th-28th. Now I guess I'll have to wait until the 3rd of January to hear anything.

I am Probably being a bit impatient, but it really annoys me that they haven't even sent a payment confirmation.

I buy everything IT on-line on Ascent. On the 27th I contacted them about my 1TB Maxtor drive, which failed on that morning. On the 28th I had a new unit delivered, even before I sent the faulty one back.

How much is the Logitech speakers you're getting? I know Noel Leeming and/or Dick Smith and/or Harvey Norman and/or EB have them, sometimes it's quicker to get from local store despite a bit more to pay.

I get from local stores if I needed the stuff ASAP and willing to pay just a bit more, or I can wait for them to come and pay a little less.

Depend on the urgency.

Well they arrived last night, the store owner hand delivered them to my door. Looking at the receipt, it looks like it was going to be sent on the 28th..but probably forgotten.

Well i ordered a 300 gb external hdd off them a couple of months ago. But the power supply has failed on it. I emailed them and they told me to send it to an address they provided. So i sent it 3 days ago and have emailed them to make sure it has arrived okay, but there has been no email back! All i want to know is if it has arrived safely, but they wont even reply!
