That's right, apple is trying to charge $20 US for an update to include Maps, Mail, Stocks, Notes and Weather. What the hell is wrong with them? All these applications can be gained free, with a jailbroken iPod.
All iPod Touches today will include all those applications.

And a warning to current 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 users with jailbroken iPods. Don't update to the free version of 1.1.3, you won't be able to downgrade.

What a CROCK! I just bought this POS and now I have to fork over another $20 to fix their early mistakes! F-Steve Jobs! Sounds like the reverse of the iPhone price drop! Screw the early adopters AGAIN! Well I'm done with Apple, I was going to get a new Mini to replace my early one, not so much any more. Never thought I'd say this, but I REALLY wish I bought the Zune instead! At least MS updates them for free. I feel like a fool!

Perhaps a lesson to new Apple buyers... wait for 2nd generation ;-) *hmm irony here is... it's starting to sound like an advice by Apple-fanboys to Windows-users...*
