It is heinously expensive and I do not see how any consumer in their right mind would commit to such plans. As an example; for 1GB of data (at max capable speeds) a consumer would pay AUD114.95 and for 3GB it costs AUD184.95
On the other hand a business customer pays AUD139.00 for 1GB on a 24 month contract.
Telstra is closing down CDMA EVDO in February 2008.

I don't think NZers realise what a good deal they are getting.
My issue however is that data is still too expensive once you go over your cap. If data can be offered at $49 per GB and then $10 for an additional GB then why can't all additional data be charged at the same rate?
