The platinum model will set you back Yen 80,000,000 which in our money is NZ$963,000 (or US$749,000). If that is a bit of stretch there is also the gold version which is a modest Yen 60,000,000 or NZ$722,000 (or US$562,000). Both models are encrusted with the odd diamond or two.
You would hope that the CPU is upgradeable otherwise in a few years it would become a very expensive brick but with the way that gold keeps going up in price at least it could be melted down and turned into a nice necklace or paper weight.
Footnote: Both models ship with Windows Vista Ultimate. There is no mention of an XP Pro option.
