Today, I called up TelstraClear to check with the progress and see how far my application has gone. Surprisingly, my application has not been lodged but the lady at the other end of the phone is happy to sign me up on the spot with credit goes to the door-to-door salesperson.
So what am I getting? Well as most of you already know, I'm an existing TelstraClear Customer with their HighSpeed 20GB, Digital Saturn TV and Vodafone Mobile Connect 1GB data plan. Soon I will have the phoneline service with them which will complete the 4-in-1 single bill solution.
The sign-up process was quick and extremely friendly, especially when coming down to choosing a suitable phone number. Alas several numbers that I hope for are not available so ended up with a simple number but that will work for now.
The greatest thing is, I shall now able to retain my existing Telecom number, while being on the new TelstraClear number. This will be extremely benefitting at this mean my family in overseas will still be able to reach us on the old number, for indefinite length of time. While all new calls made from the TelstraClear phoneline will be seen under TelstraClear's number, which isn't a biggie... just need to tell few people about it, update the phone number they had of us to the new one etc.
Installation is set for 26th September... until then, I'll wait and see... :-)
