Finally!

The prayer has answered. I have been hoping to see the price tags for the Imate JasJam, SPJas and HP HW6965 on Vodafone NZ Website... and today, they're finally let out the beast from the cage! Woohoo..

Though, still no sight on Palm Treo 750v. hmmm...

HP HW6965 $1399:

Imate JasJam $1699:

Imate SPJas $1149:

I'm very seriously thinking about switching from my Telecom Apache to the SP JAS. I was contemplating moving to a non-Windows Mobile Vodafone Phone but really wanted an HSDPA handset as I often use my Apache as a bluetooth modem for my laptop. The main reason for switching is to cut down on the bulk and weight and to also have better roaming options

if you don't mind not having main PDA usage. Smartphone is great. I am considering to switch from Smartphone to PocketPC, hence my wait for Palm Treo 750v, though I can be quite comfortable to be on JasJam if I want to.

Anyhow, despite SPJas look ugly, but you will appreciate its small candybar design, and hsdpa and use as modem-link for laptop.

Hmm...

Vodafone Germany and Vodafone UK officially released Palm 750v for sale. I wonder how long we have to wait to see it becomes available in NZ?

It is priced at 650 Euro (device only) in Germany, or 213 Pound in UK.

Interesting thing that I just spotted.

Palm Treo 750v is: GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS radio, GSM bands: 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS bands: 850/1900/2100

More importantly, the UMTS bands of 850, 1900, 2100. So when Australia Telstra switched to WCDMA 850, Palm Treo 750v is readying for it! Woohoo... This also mean that one can take it to USA/Australia/NZ for global UMTS/HSDPA roaming! Nice!

OUCH! Vodafone just updated their JasJam and SPJas by further $100 more! So JasJam is now $1799, and SPJas is $1249!
