Wii wired networking

, posted: 9-Jan-2007 22:19

Are you connected on broadband? No Wireless option with your router? Don't really use Nintendo WiFi USB for Windows XP? Looking to get Nintendo USB Wired Network Adapter? Well you can get the non-official option now from DSE. I saw this forum discussion at Gameplanet that there are a few people used and tried DSE's XH8273 (DSE Adaptor USB 2.0 > 10/100) to achieve their Wii Connect24 and Internet access from Wii. It is priced at $49.95 and you don't need to install any software/driver at all. So if you got a free ethernet port on your broadband router, and you don't mind forking out $49.95 and a good length of cable to connect your Wii to the wide world Internet. Be cheaper than getting a WiFi router, or be sooner (and possibly be cheaper) than Nintendo's official accessory when it gets here. p/s: If you have broadband but don't have router or switches to share single broadband internet connection, you will not be able to use this option. You MUST have internet sharing enabled and an available ethernet port to connect together.
