Telecom XT Pricing Plans Announced

, posted: 28-MAY-2009 14:58

Well... It's not a big surprise but certainly much simpler to understand and easier to use pricing plans.

The good thing is sharing the minutes with a small group of people, great for small team. Calls are per second, and to ANY national network (i.e. NZ numbers). TXT and Data plans are acceptable and reasonable, nothing too stellar however it would certainly encourage people to use mobile data more, now that it's priced competitively similar to Vodafone NZ. TXT plans are somewhat disappointment to some vivid Boost users or $10 TXT users, however it is pretty ok for average users.

Below is the list of pricing plans:

The Text plans are crap.. especially if you want to add calling.. Brin Back $10 Text.
I have a felling that after june 30 those plans will change and something better will come out.

Well, at this point of time... it is very hard to say. Telecom XT pricing plans are per-second which goes a lot in longer run. The TXT plans are acceptable, and reasonable to my personal usage.

However from what I have learned, sharing minutes will cost $14.95 per sharer, which defeats the purpose of consolidate our Vodafone accounts (my partner and I) into single bill and share. Both our accounts put together, it's roughly $120 total per month which includes PhoneInsure, TXTer60 (60mins+20mins bonus+600TXT+BestMate)... It isn't woeing us over to Telecom XT at the moment - which is sad!

ROFL @ the telecon xt ad where they dump that chic in a container into the sea how'd she get out without the thing sinking not only that how'd she get out full stop you can not open a shipping container from the inside and even if she managed to it'd sink as soon as she opened it what does telecon think we are to stupid to realise that. as for coverage there seems to be no better coverage in the hawkes bay than with their old system not something thats likely to make me want to change from my vodafone anytime soon and the pricing still is over priced for this day and age
