Gen-i hosts Jade Software’s new mobile banking solution

Jade Software has chosen a Gen-i cloud environment to host its latest mobile banking application solution.

Jade Software’s JOOB mobile banking solution enables financial institutions to develop and deploy mobile banking applications faster, affordably and more securely.

It is being hosted on Gen-i’s ReadyCloud Server infrastructure-as-a-service environment, which offers a secure, reliable and scalable hosted platform.

JOOB helps businesses innovate by designing and mobilising customer experiences. Its mobile banking solution enables financial institutions to meet increased customer demand for secure mobile banking, whilst providing all the features to make managing money on-the-go easy.

The explosion of smart devices means financial institutions need to focus on enhancing mobile banking experiences to attract and retain customers, says Herman Rooseboom, Jade Software’s Director of JOOB Strategy and Partners.

“Research shows that 42% of tablet and 39% of smartphone owners now use these devices for everyday banking,” says Rooseboom.

“The financial services industry is changing rapidly and therefore innovation is essential in this sector as increasingly, competing on price and product alone is no longer enough.”

The JOOB mobile banking solution provides financial institutions like banks with the tools to rapidly and affordably develop state-of-the-art applications, which are hosted in Gen-i’s scalable and secure ReadyCloud environment.

“This is a unique offering in New Zealand and rare across the world, and is of particular importance to financial services organisations with fewer resources or funds to develop bespoke applications,” says Rooseboom.

“It means they now have the opportunity to offer an enhanced customer experience with innovative new services that are safe, reliable and can scale up or down according to their needs.”

With transaction and customer data stored in a secure, environment hosted locally in one of Gen-i’s tier 3 data centres, the JOOB mobile banking solution meets the security and compliance demands of financial institutions, says Rooseboom.

In addition, with applications hosted by Gen-i, JOOB clients have access to Gen-i’s help desk for technical support and monitoring services for added security and reliability.

Gen-i is proud to be supporting Jade in helping its customers to deliver a better mobile banking experience through its mobile banking solution, says Leanne Buer, Gen-i’s acting General Manager – Marketing.

“Jade is a great example of a New Zealand business delivering innovative solutions. We are delighted to be supporting this level of innovation within the financial sector.”

In addition to Jade Software, Gen-i is working with a number of other providers to offer mobile application platform solutions to its clients.

“Our clients increasingly demand the ability to interact with their staff and customers through mobile applications, as they look for ways to strengthen their end-user relationships through mobile delivery of updates, offers and alerts,” says Buer

“We are excited to have initiatives underway with some of the world’s leading mobile application platform vendors, including Jade Software, to deliver this capability to our clients.”
