Samsung GALAXY Camera in New Zealand
Posted on 16-Nov-2012 08:46. | Tags Filed under: News.

Samsung New Zealand is launching the GALAXY Camera, the company’s first camera to combine high performance photography capability with an Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and the freedom of 3G + Wi-Fi connectivity.

Stefan Lecchi, Head of Telecommunications for Samsung New Zealand, says the new GALAXY Camera is ideal for New Zealanders who want to shoot, enjoy, edit and share high quality images and video from anywhere, at any time through a single device.

“The GALAXY Camera marks the next stage of camera evolution. What makes this camera so great is that it provides users with total freedom to take vivid high quality pictures and videos wherever and whenever they wish – it also enables them to share them instantly with family and friends without the restrictions of a conventional camera,” he says.

What sets the GALAXY Camera apart as the first truly ‘Connected Camera’ is its 3G+ Wi-Fi connectivity, which opens users up to a world of near limitless sharing and smartphone-like activities.

Posting high quality images to your favorite social networking sites, such as Facebook, and using the pre-installed apps such as Instagram and Paper Artist has never been easier. Simply shoot, enjoy, edit and share with the touch of a button.

The GALAXY Camera also delivers outstanding photography on the go. Boosted by a 21x super long zoom lens and a super-bright 16M BSI CMOS sensor, the GALAXY Camera features Samsung’s ‘Smart Mode’ technology; a series of 15 default modes and settings that make professional-looking photography easy for anyone to achieve. No matter what the occasion, the GALAXY Camera’s ‘Smart Mode’ delivers stunningly detailed images that make photography effortless and enjoyable.

Once captured, users can enjoy their images on the GALAXY Camera’s 4.8”(121.2mm) HD Super Clear LCD screen. The GALAXY Camera’s display can be used for more than just viewing. Users can also quickly and easily make professional edits to their photos using the integrated ‘Photo Wizard’ – a comprehensive set of photo editing tools powered by the GALAXY Camera’s ultrafast quad-core processor. It also features Samsung’s ‘Paper Artist’ app, which features on the GALAXY Note II, for quick and unique photo edits.

The GALAXY Camera comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), giving users access to apps currently available on Google Play. The Android OS also provides full Internet browsing capability and the ability to customise your camera to suit your creative needs.

The new Samsung GALAXY Camera will be available at selected retailers nationwide in late November in white, RRP$749.00.
