QuickFlix and Dish TV in partnership for Android tV adpater in New Zealand
Quickflix have today announced a new partnership with Dish TV around the smartvu HDMI dongle, or TV stick, which will bring the new streaming entertainment revolution to existing household TVs with an affordable, portable new device.

Now any TV with an HDMI input can become a smart TV and access affordable unlimited streaming of movies and TV from Quickflix. The smartvu TV stick comes pre-loaded with Quickflix, as well as a host of other applications.

It also features a wireless "wand" remote control, with an innovative mouse feature.

The SmartVU-mini adds Internet and high-definition multimedia streaming to any television that has an HDMI port. Once connected you can use all of the Internet features of the SmartVU-mini right on your TV. The device connects to the home network via WiFi and runs the Android operating system.

Quickflix NZ Managing Director Paddy Buckley said "Our partnership with Dish TV means that affordable streaming entertainment will be available for all kiwis regardless of their budget and without the need for a set-top box."

The smartvu TV stick is now on sale in Noel Leeming, Bond & Bond and Harvey Norman with a retail price of NZ$139. It is also available directly from the DishTV website.
