NZ’s Technology Showcase – an Ingram Micro event is fast approaching, bringing more than 50 of the world’s biggest technology brands together under one roof for three days only.

With the likes of Apple, Toshiba, HP, Microsoft, IBM and Brother exhibiting alongside Cisco, Fortinet, Redhat and VMWare among many others, Showcase is the only event of its kind in New Zealand.

Ingram Micro Marketing Services Manager, Gabby Steyn, says the 19th annual Showcase gives attendees a unique opportunity to discover what’s at the forefront of technology through connecting with a wide range of vendors.

“Linksys will be demonstrating the world’s fastest router, Philips is exhibiting its 4K ultra high-definition LED monitor and Cisco will be displaying a range of exciting on-premise and cloud-based networking solutions.”

Attendees can chat with experts in their fields and check out new products at exhibitor stands on the Showcase floor, or choose to attend a selection of 40-minute seminars presented by various local and international industry experts.

With more than 20 seminars throughout the day, attendees can choose what’s relevant to them from a wide selection of topics ranging from security to big data, BYOD, cloud and mobility or the Internet of Things (IoT).

“Greg Wyman, StorageCraft’s Asia Pacific VP will be demonstrating the company’s world-class virtual server recovery system. Fortinet is introducing FortiOS 5.2, a new purpose-built, secure operating system optimised for mid-sized and larger enterprises,” says Gabby.

“HP is holding six seminars over the course of the day, touching on subjects such as distruptive print technology, software defined storage and unified networking.”

An event which previously had a mainly reseller focus, Showcase is opening up to end-users from 1pm. Seminars will have a blended message for both resellers and their end-user customers.

“Our vendors have chosen a fantastic selection of seminar topics relevant to end-users and there’s also plenty of time at each seminar for Q&A to pick the brains of the speakers,” said Gabby.

New Zealand’s largest technology showcase is the brainchild of the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply chain and mobile device lifecycle services. Ingram Micro represents approximately 1,400 suppliers globally, serving approximately 170 countries on six continents.
