Infosync reviews new Orange SPV E100
Orange will start selling the SPV E100 in July, an update version of the original SPV, based on the Tanager reference model. This model is also known as QTEK 7070 when used by other operators.

It has a larger, easier to operate keypad and an improved colour display when compared with the previous version, and now comes with a roll-up, plug in QWERTY keyboard for easier data input and email typing.

The SPV E100 has some impressive features onboard, including photo messaging capability, internet browsing, the ability to download, store and watch video and audio clips, email connectivity plus a good range of gaming facilities. It also synchs neatly with other familiar Microsoft applications, while Orange provides a service called Orange Backup which can be used to store information and personal data in the handset onto the Orange network in case the handset is lost. Orange Update provides a feature to help customers update their SPVs with the latest applications over the air.

The device has 16MB of RAM on a 132MHz OMAP processor, a 176x220 pixel screen, SDIO slot and 1000mAh battery. An add-on camera is available, with VGA resolution.
