Start exercising for the Phone Throwing World Championships
Posted on 28-Jul-2003 19:19. | Tags Filed under: News.

Fennolingua is organising the Fourth Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships, happening Saturday 23 August in Savonlinna, Finland.

We are offering wireless communication in languages from all around the world and if you have a lurking sense of frustration concerning:

Unanswered mobile calls
Wrong numbers
"Sorry, this number cannot be reached at the moment "-situations
"Sorry, this number does not exist any longer"-messages
"Your battery is low"-messages
Conversations that take place with the answering machine

The equipment for the competition are original brands, such as Nokia, Ericsson and others. All mobile phones are provided by Fennolingua and they come with original batteries.

You can register either in Freestyle or Original (the traditional over the shoulder-style). Alternatively, you can register as a team (max. three persons / team). There's a Junior category for competitors of under 12 years.

Grading in Freestyle is based on style and aesthetics, whereas in Original the grading is purely based on length and style.
