Well, this site was slashdotted before, so there's no videos there to download, but still a good description of the idea and some pictures.
A virtual desktop is something we know: a bigger desktop and only a small working area is displayed at any time. The user can drag the screen around to see different parts of the bigger thing.
This time, there's some 'real world' involved in this, and you just move your handheld around the space and the working area will move in the screen as well!
I'm sure it's a new application of some ideas. I have a Kodak LS443 with an orientation sensor, so it rotate the picture if I take it sideways. But this is a step ahead.
