HTC Falcon CDMA phone showing around the world
This HTC Falcon is sold as "Hutch ICE", but it's also kwnown as the Audiovox PPC 5050. This is a CDMA Pocket PC Phone edition, and we commented about this version before.

After we posted our article one of our users noted that Telecom New Zealand showed this Pocket PC during a show in Auckland, and apparently it'll be available here on their CDMA network. We have now posted a review on-line of the Telecom New Zealand model.

It uses Intel's 400MHz Xscale PXA250 and 64MB of RAM. The device has no Bluetooth (unlike the GPRS T-Mobile MDAII), but Bluetooth or wi-fi can be added via the SDIO port.

It's running Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 for Phone Edition, with support for CDMA2000 1X at maximum speed 153.6kbps.

In US the device will function on Dual Band 800 MHz CDMA/1900 MHZ PCS for Bell Mobility and Verizon Wireless. Availability will be 4th quarter of 2003.

The link below contains more specific information about this Pocket PC.
