New Siemens 3G mobile handset
The U15 is Siemens' second 3G (UMTS). Siemens mobile presented the U15 – one of the world’s first 3G mobile phone to offer both video telephony and video/audio streaming. Equipped with 2 VGA cameras with 3 x digital zoom and packed with multimedia features, the triband U15 combines Siemens technical excellence with an interesting design (although it would be interesting to know why all 3G mobile phones so far are that big?).

New Java applications can be downloaded, exchanged and shared allowing the U15 to be customised to specific requirements. Siemens mobile also offers 3 pre-installed programmes, including – exclusively – the mobile version of the strategy game “ANNO 1503" and Worldmate, providing global time zone information, latest weather forecasts and maps.

The U15 comes with a Bluetooth headset and a stereo headset for MP3 playback. Siemens also offers a practical desk top charger, a data cable USB, car charger, travel charger and a Li-Polymer 800mAh battery.

The handset will be available in UMTS network ready markets from November 2003.
