iBIZ Technology Corp has been on the news lately. Since they released information about their plans on showing the Virtual Laser Keyboard during the Consumer Electronics Show 2004 (CES) in Las Vegas, CNBC's Tech Watch showed a segment with this new technology. Jane Wells, CNBC Correspondent, said the Virtual Laser Keyboard is "an accessory that embeds laser-emitting as lens, infrared matrix that is projected out to a flat surface ... as you type into it ... it reflects the image back to a small camera that sits inside of the device and it registers a character." Wells also said, "It even makes a little tapping noise to make the whole experience more life-like."
The problem is that soon after appearing on the national TV program iBIZ Technology's website was hacked sometime on Wednesday 31 December 2003. This hacker attack resulted in spam emails, infected with viruses, being emailed posing to come from the company. For that reason, the iBIZ Corp. website has been shut down since then.
The FTC has been contacted in an effort to resolve this matter. iBIZ Corp is in the midst of changing ISP and expects their website to be up and running soon.
