Mega-conference ITx to focus on innovation, technology and education
Posted on 25-May-2016 20:50. | Tags Filed under: News.

This year IITP is collaborating with 12 tech associations to bring one mega-conference to New Zealand, ITx 2016. With more than 150 talks, panels, presentations and speakers from New Zealand, Australia, the UK, the USA and the Netherlands, among others, attendees will be able to choose from between nine separate streams of work.

IITP Chief Executive Paul Matthews says bringing together 12 associations has meant the ITx conference will have something for everyone in the industry. ITx focuses on innovation, technology and education and brings IT professionals, decision-makers, leaders and academics together under one roof. This is a conference like no other: where industry, academia and government come together to network, learn and engage.

“We’ve all worked hard to blend together the various arms of our industry, from open source to telecommunications, from local body politics to global views on the future of IT, and with the help of our partners and sponsors this will be the largest IT conference of its kind in the country.”

ITx includes InternetNZ’s NetHui gathering, an unconference devoted to discussing the key issues affecting the internet, as well as IITP’s Excellence in IT Awards which celebrates the individuals and teams who have truly excelled in our industry. Alongside that, there are conferences, lightning talks, panels, presentations and all sorts from across the industry.

“ITx wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors and we have had great support our Platinum Sponsors, Axios Systems and Wellington City Council and also from our Gold Sponsors Orion Health, MBIE, Alemba, Designer Tech, and ServiceNow.”
