Roaming Messenger's mobile messaging technology is being beta tested on Samsung's Windows Mobile Smartphone i600 mobile phone.
Samsung's i600 phone combines the functionality of a PDA with a phone. Features include Internet access, e-mail, calendar and a multitude of other functions.
The softwa allows dynamic and interactive content to seamlessly roam through the wired and wireless worlds. Currently targeted at the Homeland Defense and Emergency Response sectors, future markets include Enterprise automation and mobile commerce, for example vending machine purchases via mobile phones.
"...roaming, escalating and interactive functions are fully compatible with the Samsung i600 phone and we are excited to have the phone enabled for this testing phase," said Brian Fox, Roaming Messenger's Chief Technology Officer.
"Samsung is the world's third largest manufacturer of mobile phones. This latest rollout of the new generation phones means we have a much larger base of phones that are capable of supporting Roaming Messenger's interactive messaging system. Having a larger base of platforms that we can operate across bodes well for the mass adoption of our technology," concluded Mr. Fox.
