MobileDataforce has announced today the release of version 4.5 of the Intercue Mobility Suite, which provides full database integration, multiple report formats, and two-way data synchronization.

The Intercue Mobility Suite offers an XML development environment for creating, publishing and integrating XML-based forms for data collection on four major mobile platforms, Palm OS, Windows CE, Pocket PC and Tablet PC/Windows. "Version 4.5 supports full integration with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, MS-SQL Server and Oracle or any other ODBC data source," said Dave Wasden, VP of Product Management with MobileDataforce. "Business applications on handheld computers are becoming more powerful every day. We are extending back office applications into the field for mobile users."

"The Intercue Mobility Suite offers my clients a powerful mobile business solution," said Roger Newby of Mobile Systems Northwest. "The first step in most mobility projects is replacing paper forms with electronic forms on handheld computers. The second is the requirement for database integration, and the third is two-way data transfer. The Intercue Mobility Suite solves all of these issues for my clients."

Additional features included in version 4.5 are: enhanced performance on Palm OS, two-way data transfers of forms and form data, plus the ability to view and edit stylesheets in an XML editor. This enables users to create custom reports using XSLT to generate invoices, orders, or any other kind of reports using the XML form data collected on handheld computers.
