Infuzer to supply Athens 2004 information on your PDA
Posted on 4-Aug-2004 18:38. | Tags Filed under: News.

Infuzer has announced the launch of a service to allow users of Outlook, Palm Desktop and Lotus Notes to receive complete Olympic Event Coverage of the 2004 Summer Games to their PC or PDA calendar. Users can select which specific Olympic events they want to follow, along with daily summaries and updated medal counts. All scheduled competitions and classes for that event will be imported to their PC or PDA calendar in a single click. In addition, final results are sent to the calendar entry after completion of the event. Another feature is the ability to dynamically update any changes in the Olympic schedules due to weather cancellation, venue change or any other unforeseen factor. Team sports update at the end of each day's play, re-populating the data to reflect the match-ups for the next round of play.

Infuzer is a free tool that copies dates or events from the Internet and emails directly to your calendar. The company has partnered with some companies, associations and sporting clubs to provide Infuzer-enabled content for some popular events: Weather Forecasts, Holidays & Festivals, Travel Itineraries, Business Conferences, World Wide Events and Sporting Team Schedules.

Users are able to specify the information they receive and modify their choices at any time. They do not have to scour a website or follow a link in an email to find the specific information they want; all they have to do is click on the event entry in their calendar. The subscription- based service allows a user to receive customized information on any or all of the 37 sporting disciplines, which cover the more than 300 medals being contested throughout the Summer Games. Additionally they can choose to receive content such as medal counts, summaries and updates.
