In-Stat/MDR launches new Global Mobile Operator service
Posted on 10-Aug-2004 07:42. | Tags Filed under: News.

In-Stat/MDR, a high-tech market research firm, has launched its newest wireless research service, Global Mobile Operator Strategies. The introduction of the new service follows an expansion of In-Stat/MDR's Wireless research practice earlier in the year, which added four new services focused on end-user trends within the U.S. mobile wireless market.

The Global Mobile Operator Strategies service will deliver focused market intelligence on the top mobile operators currently shaping the global wireless industry and will provide in-depth carrier profiles, including analysis of each operator's strategic direction and market focus as well as tracking information on subscribers, revenue from voice and data services, key operating metrics, and relationships with partners and vendors. The research service will include a worldwide mobile subscriber forecast, updated twice per year, and a global wireless carrier database including tracking data on all operators.

Senior Analyst Ken Hyers, an In-Stat/MDR veteran who joined the research firm in 1998, will be the lead analyst for this new research service. Hyers, already a well-known figure and recognized authority within the global wireless industry, brings considerable experience in researching wireless technology trends and carrier strategies. In addition to his own original analysis, he will work with a worldwide team of contributing analysts with inside knowledge of regional markets and operators. Hyers holds a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, as well as a Masters Degree in International Relations from Northeastern University in Boston.
