Updates for Pocket Informant and WebIS Mail
Web Information Solutions inc, also known as WebIS has announced updated versions of their Pocket Informant and WebIS Mail, both for Windows Mobile Pocket PC.

10226 Pocket Informant 5.21 brings the following updates:

  • Notes View now updates when alarm/category info is updated
  • "Sort By" determines what columns to show in Notes View
  • Category Sort added in Notes View
  • Notes Creation Time now kept when updating notes
  • Fixed a potential crash in Context menu in the Search View
  • Fixed crash when creating a new task already completed and with a category
  • Fixed Several issues related to dragging PhatNotes for conversion and between databases
  • Fixed unreliable Folder State saving in Notes View
  • Fixed an issue where PI would save alarm times incorrectly for Notes
  • Fixed a specific fatal error related to restoring backed up links, HT, or journal files

    48295 WebIS Mail 2.04 is now updated with the following features/fixes:

  • Fixed crash on synchronizing a POP3 service if the server resets the connection forcibly
  • Fixed problem with international characters in names of IMAP4 server folders
  • Fixed problem with connection to Exchange server over IMAP4
  • Fixed issue with moving message from POP3/IMAP4 storages to ActiveSync. Note: since synchronization to desktop
  • Outlook is done by Microsoft, only messages in folder Outbox are MOVED to Outlook. Moved/copied messages in other folders are not synchronized to desktop.
  • Fixed SSL connection issues when working with MS Exchange
  • Fixed all known SMTP issues reported
  • Fixed all known connection issues with IMAP/SSL
  • Text emails with links are now parsed and are clickable
  • Added new options for character sets and reading messages like "Mark message read on reply/forward"
  • Several UI bugs fixed
  • Delete button added to the menu bar of the message view window
  • All hotfixes combined into this release
