AutoEnginuity announces ScanTool 3.1 OBD-II for Pocket PC and Palm
The company announced that ScanTool version 3.1 is now available on the PC, Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Palm platforms. AutoEnginuity is an OBD-II diagnostic scan tool developer creating software for diagnosis of OBD-II compliant European, Asian, and American vehicles.

AutoEnginuity’s OBD-II connector offers all four electrical interfaces (CAN support optional) in a single compact connector. The ScanTool software supports all five current OBD-II protocols (PWM, VPW, ISO, KWP2000, and CAN), and it's available for US$229.95.

The new version 3.1 introduces:
  • Playback (XML or CSV data logs).
  • New user-interface with a larger screen and new custom look.
  • Save and print DTC/Freeze Frame and IM/Mode 6 information.
  • Savable vehicle configurations.
  • Configure individual sensors: units, sampling rate, ranges, audible alert triggers, and scaling value.
  • XML and CSV data logging now has 1ms accuracy.
  • Built-in TSB library for DTC- and IM-related issues.
  • Total of 14K manufacturer specific trouble codes descriptions.
  • Translated Mode 6 support.
  • Ford enhanced now supports 66 systems, 2700+ sensors, and system tests for diesel and gas vehicles (e.g., KOEO, Buzz Injector tests, etc.)
  • Toyota enhanced powertrain.

The company says "this latest release is our biggest product development yet. Working with several of our largest customers, we were able to deliver on the demands of both the DIYer and the independent service shop."
