Innvo Systems launches integrated mobile application suite
Posted on 6-Dec-2004 22:09. | Tags Filed under: News.

Singapore-based Innvo Systems Pte Ltd announced the release of JuzzMobile, an integrated mobile application suite comprising JuzzBrowse (WAP Browser), JuzzMMS (Multimedia Messaging Client) and JuzzJEE (Java Virtual Machine) for mass market feature phones.

“It is a challenge for handset manufacturers to overcome the difficulties in dealing with multiple vendors supplying WAP Browser, Multimedia Messaging Client and Java Virtual Machine solutions for mass-market feature phones. This has resulted in compliance, interoperability and interface issues that result in complex and time-consuming integration problems.” commented Mr Chay Kwong Soon, Chairman of Innvo.

JuzzMobile has been pre-integrated and optimized on Texas Instrument’s Calypso chipset platform, providing a fast path for handset manufacturers to go-to-market.

Innvo also commented that according to Gartner, Inc., global mobile phones shipments in 2004 are likely to top 600 million, up from a March estimate of 580 million. This was the second forecast revision this year, the first looking at 560 million handsets, up from 520 million sold in 2003. Gartner also forecasts handset sales in China will surpass the 70 million unit mark in 2004, pushing at least one of the leading Chinese cell phone manufacturers into the list of top 10 global phone makers.
