Silicon Graphics equips sales and service staff with Treo 600

Silicon Graphics has deployed 225 Treo 600 smartphones from palmOne to its North American field sales and service force to speed response time and heighten customer satisfaction.
With 2,600 employees worldwide, direct sales in 25 countries as well as distribution in 25 additional countries, SGI sales and service representatives were often disconnected from others in the organization when traveling to remote locations. SGI chose the Treo 600 smartphone running GoodLink from Good Technology as their solution to keep the workforce always connected.
"We wanted to provide our field sales and service force with a seamless way to stay connected to the people and information they need to do their jobs well. By giving them a phone and access to email and schedules using GoodLink all in one device, the Treo 600 has fundamentally changed the way they work," said Dean Drougas, chief information officer, SGI. "Once people have the Treo 600, they don't let it go."
