Notify Technology launches hosted wireless synchronisation service
Posted on 3-Mar-2005 18:13. | Tags Filed under: News.

Notify Technology Corporation has announced its NotifyLink Hosted Service, targeted at small to medium businesses using Novell GroupWise or Microsoft Exchange email platforms.

The NotifyLink Hosted Service is designed for organizations of all sizes that want to avoid the hassles of an "on premise" wireless synchronization solution. The NotifyLink Hosted Service provides secure, real time wireless synchronization of e-mail and PIM (calendar, contacts and tasks) for mobile Novell GroupWise and Microsoft Exchange users.

The NotifyLink Hosted Service supports a variety of Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and Palm wireless devices. In addition, the NotifyLink Hosted Service will support most major wireless carriers, including AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Sprint PCS, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile Wireless, Nextel Communications in the United States and Bell Mobility, Rogers Communications, and Telus in Canada.

The new service does not require hardware or software at the customer site and enables over-the-air (OTA) synchronization of e-mail, calendar, contact, and task information. The service uses a real-time push notification to initiate synchronisation, and supports attachment downloading, uploading and viewing. Security is guaranteed by using AES and Triple DES encryption.
