PhatWare applications compatible with new Windows Mobile 5.0
PhatWare Corporation is also announcing support for Windows Mobile 5.0 software for Pocket PCs and Smartphones. The announcement, made at Microsoft Mobile & Embedded DevCon 2005, assures users of Pocket PCs and Smartphones running Windows Mobile 5.0 they can use PhatWare's products.

"Windows Mobile 5.0 offers Pocket PC users increased productivity with mobile access to critical data and a powerful and personalized multimedia experience," said Stan Miasnikov, president of PhatWare. "We are proud to announce that PhatWare products will further enhance the user's experience by providing increased productivity and personalization with our handwriting recognition and notes software that integrate with Windows Mobile 5.0."

PhatPad and PhatNotes Professional Edition are the two of PhatWare's award-winning applications that are immediately compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PCs and Smartphones. Other PhatWare Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC and Smartphone products, including CalliGrapher, the well-known award-winning handwriting recognition software, will soon support Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0.

83676 PhatPad is a notes organizer for Microsoft Windows-based Pocket PCs, Tablet PCs and desktop PCs. The application allows users to draw pictures, jot text notes, combine pictures and text and create simple animation on a virtual scratch pad. The program uses digital ink technology, which provides a very smooth ink flow, and includes a basic shape recognition engine. While working with the note editor, PhatPad offers standard editing commands, a 39-color pen palette, and variable pen width and page size. In devices with a camera, PhatPad allows pictures to be taken within the program. Users can export notes and drawings as bitmap, png or jpeg images.

The 28647 PhatNotes program is a notes organizer for Microsoft Windows-based Pocket PCs and Smartphones, desktop PCs, and Palm OS-powered mobile devices. PhatNotes allows users to create notes and organize them by type, subject, and creation and modification date. PhatNotes provides powerful text search, document security and e-mail capabilities. PhatNotes' interface to the Contacts Database gives users quick access to e-mail addresses and contact information. PhatNotes comes in different versions designed specifically for primary use with different types of devices.
