Geekzone and Rocom Wireless
Posted on 30-Jun-2005 12:45 by M Freitas. | Tags Filed under: Blog.

If you are in New Zealand or Australia and are involved in the mobile market then the Rocom name is not unknown. Rocom Wireless is an Australasian Mobile Solutions company which specialises in the provision of mobile service and solutions to the corporate and business market.

The company operates a Mobile Solutions and services business, as well as its subsidiary World Billing Services (WBS). With the convergence of wireless computing and mobile technology, these teams work closely together to provide our customers with integrated wireless solutions and billing.

We are working with Rocom Wireless to provide them with multiple mobile tools and resources. The initiatives involve:

  • Sourcing a customised version of our RSS feeds with latest mobility news
  • Access to downloads of Newsbreak Lite, our free RSS feed reader for Windows Mobile (Pocket PC and Smartphone)
  • Access to Geekzone InHand, a customised version of Handango's on-device software catalogue that allows OTA delivery of Windows Mobile software
  • A special forum that will give Rocom Wireless clients a virtual place for discussions, peer support and suggestions.

Note that this new forum is open to all Geekzone users, so everyone can benefit of discussions there. The idea is that Rocom Wireless wil monitor the forum, but not moderate it. Users will be able to help each other with their own experience and knowledge. Of course there is no costs involved for anyone using the forum.
