Microsoft releases hotfix for memory leak in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
Posted on 6-Jul-2005 14:04. | Tags Filed under: News.

If you have a Tablet PC and frequently is using the Hibernation function, then make sure to check a hotfix that will prevent memory leak when using the handwriting recognition without frequent reboots.

The problem was described in February and the program tabtip.exe was pointed as the culprit. The program increases in size due to a memory leak, starting at 10MB and using more memory with time. Only a restart brings the program back to normal state.

A support hotfix is now available from Microsoft, and users with this problem should download and install it.
