Access NetFront v3.3 for Pocket PC Technical Preview Released

Access has announced the released of its latest web browser for Windows Mobile, NetFront v3.3 for Pocket PC Technical Preview Version.

The hightlights of this new version include supports for VGA LCD on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition and newer; a Smart Frame feature that allows users to operate contents with frames on small displays for Pocket PCs; RSS Support, including RDF/RSS and Atom feeds; a Web Data/Password Manager that provides unified management of username/password information and a popup blocker.

The software requires Windows Mobile 2003 or Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Pocket PC, and approximately 4.3MB for data storage and 5.2MB or more for program execution.

NetFront v3.3 for Pocket PC Technical Preview Version also includes a SMIL Player compliant with 3GPP SMIL and SMIL Basic proposed by W3C, capable of playing multimedia contents composed of various file types including text, image, sound, movie, animation, etc.

According to Access, user interface is greatly improved when compared with previous versions. For example there is now support for copy and paste when entering passwords, support for copy and paste in text boxes and cache settings management.
