Vodafone New Zealand is announcing a range of 3G mobile devices with increased internal and expandable memory, new designs, higher resolution camera capabilities in time for this Christmas.

Vodafone is introducing a handset with the highest resolution camera in the New Zealand market. The Sharp 903 creates high quality pictures with the 3.2 megapixel camera, optical zoom and flip and twist screen which simulates the same form factor as a digital camera.

Music fans will be able to store more songs on their mobile phones with the increased storage on a number of 3G handsets. Devices already in the market have not been excluded as the pre-packaged memory cards of both the Nokia 6680 and Sony Ericsson V800 will be increased to 512MB.

Include in this new line is also the Motorola RAZR V3x (3G model, pictured). A cheaper option but including features such as Bluetooth, infrared and 40MB memory is the Samsung ZV10, with the entry level price during November only of NZ$449 - the normal street price is NZ$549).

“Offering a range of premium to entry level phones will open up all the 3G services such as video calling, mobile TV, music to an even larger part of the market,” said Vodafone’s General Manager Kieren Cooney. “All of the 3G devices will offer enhanced and new mobile services through Vodafone live! with 3G, with more than 300,000 full track music downloads, as well as an increasing range of mobile TV services and content.”
