Game Editor Helps Develop Games for Windows, Linux and Windows Mobile
Makslane Rodrigues has released Game Editor v. 1.3.3, a Windows game creation application that lets developers design and create interactive games for the Windows, Windows Mobile (Pocket PC and Smartphone), and Linux platforms.

With little programming or technical knowledge, developers can design and create 2D games, including arcade, puzzle, board, role-playing, shoot-em-up, jump and run, and side-scroller games.

Game Editor lets creators quickly prototype new games. With some little time, is possible to develop a basic game, and test its design and playability. By interacting with a prototype game from the outset, developers can minimize wasted time and eliminate false starts.

A scripting language lets developers extend Game Editor's functionality to support unusual and custom game rules.

Once the game is fine-tuned and perfected, a few mouse clicks will create versions for Windows, Linux, Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphones.

Developers can share games with family and friends, or sell them commercially, without paying royalty fees to the Game Editor author.

Game Editor v. 1.3.3 runs under Windows 95/98/Me/2000/2003/XP. The program, plus a premium one-year support package, costs US$94.95. The program without the annual updates is available for US$14.95.
