You all know I am here at the 2006 International CES courtesy of Microsoft. Being part of the Microsoft Communities program granted our group of website owners access to a very exclusive Microsoft Vista tent, which is located across the street from the main hall of the Las Vegas Conference Center.
This tent (which is next door to the Yahoo! tent) is an exclusive area where CEOs and other VIPs can have private presentations of Microsoft Windows Vista features and discuss more about the upcoming OS.
Our group had a one hour presentation split in three parts, each one a stop on a station with the latest Windows Vista build, including Media Center edition, covering the main topics Microsoft is pushing in this year's exhibition: memories, tv/movies, and music.
We had a very good preview of Windows Media Player 11, featuring fast search for media, automatic selection of DRM locked content to allow quick licence purchase, memories (pictures) manipulation, and an awesome demonstration of HDTV.
The new Windows Vista is digital-cable ready, and the user interface is just incredible. Well worth the experience.
