Microsoft Brasil has created a new division to take care of mobility and Windows Mobile business in the country. This new mobility division is one of only ten other similar initiative within the Microsoft organisation around the world.
Celso Winik is the new general manager for this group. Under his direction the division will develop the sales strategy for Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition, Smartphone), plus mobility-related solutions and services.
Winik has joined Microsoft Brasil six years ago, and for the last five years he has been working with embedded and mobile applications. During this time he worked together with local partners in different segments, including thin clients, PDAs, mobile, and banking.
The executive previously worked in the launch of a Pocket PC Phone Edition, the Gradiente Partner, and the world launch of the Windows Mobile Smartphone Motorola MPx220, which was announced first in Brazil through a partnership with Motorola and TIM.
