TelstraClear announced new broadband plans that will see an increase to traffic allowances and a decrease in additional usage rates.
The new plans, available to homes on TelstraClear’s network in Wellington and Christchurch, range in traffic size from an entry-level HighSpeed 1GB plan, through to the LightSpeed 80G service.
TelstraClear’s LightSpeed 40GB and LightSpeed 80GB plans offer download speeds of up to 10MB/S.
According to TelstraClear Head of Consumer Markets Steve Jackson, customers who signed up for HighSpeed and LightSpeed plans from November last year will automatically get the upgrade to the new plans.
“Customers on the HighSpeed 200MB plan will automatically be upgraded to HighSpeed 1GB, while our largest plan previously, LightSpeed 20GB, has now been increased to 80GB, for the same price,” he says.
TelstraClear’s broadband plans are part of a triple play package with telephone line rental and digital/cable TV. Most of these plans can be purchased separately.
TelstraClear’s InHome telephone line rental will stay at NZ$31.95 per month. The HighSpeed 10G plan provides 2Mbps download speeds with a 10GB monthly allowance, for NZ$49.95. The LightSpeed 80G plan comes with 10Mbps download speeds, 80GB monthly allowance and costs NZ$139.95 a month.
The HighSpeed plans have a NZ$2.95 charge per 1GB after the allowance is reached, with LightSpeed plans (40GB and 80GB) have NZ$2.95 charge for every 2GB after the allowance is reached.
