Orb Networks Adds Hauppauge WinTV Support to Bring Consumers Television on Mobile Devices
Orb Networks has announced a worldwide partnership with Hauppauge Computer Works, Inc., allowing the company to complement its content distribution service with TV signal captured using Hauppauge's WinTV products.

From the Web browser and streaming media player of their mobile phone or PDA, consumers can watch live TV, enjoy previously recorded shows, and schedule future recordings. No special mobile software from Orb is required.

The free Orb software on the user's home PC streams TV to any mobile device with a Windows, Real, or 3gp streaming player. This includes devices on the popular Symbian, Palm, Windows, Windows Mobile, and BREW platforms.
