Vivendi Universal Games Mobile Annouces New Game Titles

Vivendi Universal Games (VUG) Mobile announced its second and third quarter mobile game titles for 2006. The titles include:
SWAT Force: Based on the PC tactial-action franchise, the mobile version allows players to assume the role of a SWAT squad leader, choose the equipment and tactics for the sharp shooter and explosives export and choose the approriate moment to use these to defuse traps that lie in the way.
Empire Earth: Based on the PC real time strategy franchise, the mobile version has players needing to conquer all opposition through eight campaigns. With a full combat system, resource management, capturing and controlling enemy territory, building your empire and moving through the ages to gain access to new units, which bring their own strategic challenges.
After Dark: Flying Toaster: Based on the recognised screensaver icon, this casual puzzle game is simple to play, but difficult to master. The game is controlled through one-thumb use and has players navigating numerous puzzle levels while catching enough toast to keep the Flying Toaster energised. Each level has a challenging enivronment, obstacles, enemies and slow down items, such as hamburgers.
Red Baron: Based on the Sierra flight game, players go head-to-head with the best flighter pilots of World War I, including Manfred von Richtohoven, AKA the "Red Baron". Mission based levels offer gameplay such as protecting bases and bombing the enemies' buildings. The game is presented in both 2D and 3D versions across J2ME and BREW enabled handsets
Navy Challenge: Set in World War II, this is based on the classic Battleships game genre. Players assume the persona of a US, British, Japanese or Chinese admiral and direct their fleet into battle. With gameplay options featuring a wide array of weaponry and an "active defense mode", where players choose between an air strike, torpedo attack, rocket attack or radar sweep to detect and destroy enemy ships. Unlike the original, plays can move their ships mid-game to avoid fire. Initially the game will be single-player only, but later in the year it will be enhanced to all turn-based multiplayer.
Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre: Based on the NovaLogic PC franchise, players lead an elite Delta Force unit on 10 missions through varied terran such as; South American jungles and the deserts of the Persian Gulf. The game is present as a top down 2D tactical-action game with levels alternating between helicopter combat and ground combat with a total of 20 action sequences.
