Sony Releases VAIO TX Notebook Series
The TX series is designed to be an ultra portable notebook, with a carbon fibre body to reduce weight and new "white LED" technology. This technologu has advancements in fluorescent tubes that make the LCD 50% thinner and 30% lighter than comparable sized LCDs (11.1").

Including battery, this latop weighs only 1.25Kg.

Other specifications include:
  • Pentium M Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) 1.2GHz processor, 400MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache
  • Intel 915GMS Express chipset
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 video chipset, using up to 128MB shared main memory
  • Up to 1.5GB DDR2 SDRAM, preinstalled with 1GB of RAM and one free slot
  • 11.1" wide screen LCD (WXGA: 1366 x 768) using White LED technology
  • VGA DSUB 15 pin output
  • 60GB ATA 100 hard disk, preinstalled as C: 20GB & D: 40GB
  • DVD+-RW optical drive
  • 1x iLINK 1394a 4pin Firewire (400Mbps)
