Toshiba Announces Updates to Consumer Notebooks
Toshiba has announced a refresh of its retail notebook line up in New Zealand, which the company usually does every every three months. They say this ensures they continue to offer the latest technology to customers. The last update was in late-Feb, and with this new update they launched five new notebooks across their business and retail range.

The following upgrades have occurred across the following models.

Satellite P100 -- designed for the high end multimedia consumer. Priced from $3,1999 - $4,199 inc GST.
  • Intel Duo processors at either T2300 (1.66GHz) or T2400 (1.83GHz)
  • 17" Widescreen (WSXGA) 1680x1050, TruBrite display
  • nVidia GeForce 7900 512MB video
  • Either a 100 or 120 GB hard disk
  • Either 512MB of base memory, or 1GB in 2x 512MB configuration
    -- Dual mode mouse pad
  • The $3,199 model comes with a Toshiba gigabeat X30 MP3 player and Windows Media Centre Edition 2005.

    Satellite A100 -- designed to be a desktop replacement. Priced from $1,999 - $2,199 inc GST.
  • Intel Solo T1300 (1.66GHz), Intel Duo T2300 (1.66GHz) or the entry level Celeron model (see below)
  • 15.4" XGA 1024x768 TruBrite display
  • Either Intel GMA video chipset or nVidia GeForce 7300 with 128 MB video memory and 128 MB shared
  • Either a 60 or 80 GB hard disk
  • 512MB of RAM
  • Spill resistant keyboard
  • Indigo blue casing

    Satellite M100 -- a high performance, light weight notebook. Priced from $1,799 inc GST.
  • Intel Solo T1300 (1.66GHz)
  • 14.1" WXGA 1366x768 TruBrite display
  • DVD SuperMulti Double/Dual Layer drive
  • Spill resistant keyboard
  • Indigo blue casing

    Satellite M50 -- a compact widescreen low cost notebook. Priced from $1,499 inc GST.
  • Intel Celeron M 380 (1.6GHz)
  • 14" WXGA 1366x768 TruBrite display
  • ATi Radeon Xpress 200M video chipset
  • DVD SuperMulti Double/Dual Layer drive

    Satellite A100 -- the entry level version of the A100. Priced from $1,199 inc GST.
  • Intel Celeron M 360 (1.4GHz)
  • 15.4" WXGA 1366x768 TruBrite display
  • ATi Radeon Xpress 200M video chipset
  • CDRW / DVD ROM drive
  • Indigo blue casing

    Customers will find an exclusive red design at Harvey Norman. Toshiba's new Qosmio G30 with HD DVD drive will be available in late May 2006.

    All existing Qosmio F20s will be upgraded to the new F30s with digital TV tuner later in May as well.
