Orange releases unlock procedures for SPV: developers only at this time
Orange now offers an unlock procedure for its SPV MS Smartphone. But you must be a developer, and agree with certain terms and conditions.

This operation is done Over-the-air (OTA) therefore you must be in an area with good coverage.

Before proceeding with lock/unlock, please ensure the following on your SPV:

1. That your SPV has previously been used to connect to the Internet at least once. This allows us to automatically register your SPV details with the provider of the lock/unlock service, so that we can accurately identify your device before unlocking it.

2. That your SPV is switched on and is within good coverage

3. That your SPV is at ROM revision 1.3.5 or higher

The process of unlocking the SPV temporarily allows developers to install and test unsigned applications. After you have completed and tested your application, you still have to submit it for signing so other users can run the application in normal locked SPV phones. Once the application is signed, the developer needs to re-lock the SPV to confirm the application runs correctly on a standard device.
