ASUS Introduces the P525 Pocket PC Phone Edition
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is introducing the P525 quad-band Pocket PC phone, which incorporated Push E-mail, Wi-Fi support and built-in numeric keypad to deliver a complete mobile business solution.

The company says "Business Anywhere" is the design concept behind the P525. The P525 leverages push e-mail functionality to deliver real-time synchronization with email, contacts and calendar items as changes occur on a Microsoft Exchange account through a continuous connection between the P525 and the server.

Based on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, the ASUS PDA phone supports office applications, including Word Mobile, Excel Mobile and PowerPoint Viewer.

The P525 comes with both Wi-Fi and GPRS support built in, providing wireless and cellular connectivity for Internet access. The device supports instant messaging and Skype, including SkypeIn and SkypeOut functionality.

The 2 megapixel digital camera can also act as a business card recognition device. Users can simply take a picture of a business card, and the P525 will automatically convert information on the card into Outlook's contact list.

Running on a 416MHz Intel XScale, the P525 comes with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, with a expansion slot (miniSD card). It supports quad band GSM nertwork (850/900/1800/1900) and GPRS Class B, multi-slot Class 10. The 2.8" display (240 x 320 pixels) is touchscreen.
