Vodafone live! Services
Telecom New Zealand and Xtra launched a premptive strike on Vodafone, bringing to the New Zealand mobile market the idea of convergence.

Vodafone is not sleeping, though. The new Telecom services are very similar to Vodafone live! service, soon to be available here in New Zealand, but already available in another eight countries (Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom). The Vodafone live! is a set of colour and picture-based services, enabling you to send/receive picture messages, download games and ringtones and access useful and colourful content.

Vodafone live! offers an easy and seamless way to use these new services, offering them under the single Vodafone live! brand. A couple of weeks ago Vodafone announced the upcoming release of Vodafone live! in Australia, New Zealand and Egypt, with no dates set yet.

Picture Messaging
Polyphonics ringtones
News and information
Messenger (chat)
e-mail
Games (full colour 2D/3D)

The service works in all Vodafone mobiles, but some will have limited capabilities. The best experience can be achieved when using modern handsets: Nokia 3650, Nokia 7650, Panasonic GD87 and Sharp GX-10.
