Posted on 26-Sep-2006 11:18. | Tags Filed under: News.

AskMeNow is launching its intelligent mobile answer service in the United States for anyone on the Alltel, Cingular, Sprint-Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon wireless networks.

People with a mobile phone and SMS capability have access to virtually all of the information on the Internet through AskMeNow. In addition to receiving basic searches to 411, Weather, Directions, Travel and Trivia information, customers can ask free-form questions on any subject.

Customers can text any question, in any format to ASKME (27563) and receive a specific answer to their cell phone. There are no syntax limitations or structures to memorize.

There is no application to download, and customers are automatically registered for the service as soon as they send a question to ASKME (27563). Customers are charged a service fee of US$0.25 per question appearing on their carrier monthly statements.
