NewsGator Technologies, Inc. has released NewsGator Go! for BlackBerry and NewsGator Go! for Java, mobile RSS readers designed for BlackBerry and other Java-enabled mobile devices. NewsGator Go! gives individual and business users the ability to access news and content any RSS-enabled sources through many popular mobile devices.
This release follows the September 2006 announcement of NewsGator Go! for Windows Mobile, which gives users the ability to read content and manage their RSS subscriptions seamlessly from any Windows Mobile capable device.
Key features and benefits of NewsGator Go! for BlackBerry and Java include optimal format for mobile devices, and fast access to news and information.
The software is able to synchronise RSS subscriptions and content across NewsGator’s entire suite of products, including FeedDemon, NetNewsWire, NewsGator Online and NewsGator Inbox. Articles marked as “read” on a mobile device will show up as “read” on their other NewsGator applications. This includes the NewsGator Enterprise On-Demand service.
Users will also be able to clip and save posts for revisiting later with NewsGator Online or any other NewsGator reader.
NewsGator Go! for BlackBerry and NewsGator Go! for Java were developed in a technology partnership with FreeRange Communications and is available for BlackBerry, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, and most other MID-P 2.0 mobile phones, including Samsung, Sanyo and LG.
