RTX is launching a complete "all in a box" Wireless IP Network system with VoIP functionality and high speed Internet access. The release includes the "standalone wireless IP Network System" and a full range of accessory products (cordless handsets, repeaters, wireless adapter for analog telephones, fax machines and modems), featuring VoIP telephony via DECT/SIP and data access via 802.11g.
This new system can be used to establish an organized telecommunication infrastructure providing complete wireless voice and broadband data connectivity and mobility within a building or small community. The wireless IP Network system includes all the devices required to connect end user terminals to public telephony and broadband services.
The standalone wireless IP network system is configurable with any SIP based telephony provider or more traditional PSTN interfaces like E1 CCS. The platform comes with an integrated Asterisk IP softswitch solution.
“This is excellent news for system integrators or small operators servicing dedicated clusters, residential areas or villages, who can now extend their offering to a wireless network infrastructure including entry-level DECT handsets, professional DECT Handsets, a DECT repeater extending the DECT range, and a Wireless Analog Telephone Adapter to connect analog telephones, fax machines and modems to the network,” says Tage Rasmussen, CEO of RTX.
The products are now available to operators and system integrators as OEM product solutions.
