SmartDraw 2008 helps automate business graphics

SmartDraw 2008 helps automate business graphics has launched SmartDraw 2008, a program that automates the task of creating business graphics such as flowcharts, organizational charts, mind maps, project charts, bar charts and more.

Unlike other graphics programs that provide you with a blank screen and expect you to draw, with SmartDraw you start with a template that is specifically designed to create the type of illustration that you need. You enter your information and SmartDraw does the rest: building the graphic automatically using built-in rules and professional design themes to guarantee polished, presentation-quality results in just a few minutes. It draws for you!

“It’s now simple to make your first presentation-quality business graphic in just minutes, not hours,” said Paul Stannard, CEO. “We made selecting the right template even easier by creating a comprehensive Encyclopedia of Business Graphics™ which is available on our Web site. It lists every type of business graphic, a definition, an explanation of how it is used, an example, and a template that can be used to create one.” SmartDraw 2008 includes templates for more than 50 different types of illustration.

Stannard said SmartDraw has been analyzing feedback from nearly two million computer users who downloaded the predecessor program over the past year. “Our users are not graphics experts. They need help both in layout and in graphic design. SmartDraw 2008 does both, by automatically creating the layout and applying professionally designed color schemes.”

SmartDraw 2008 is packed with unique features, including Automatic Flowcharting, Automatic Business Graphics, Automatic Graphic Design, Express Charts and more.

Users can also create Live Maps, capturing live data from the Internet to allow users to incorporate roads, regions, counties, zip codes, countries and satellite images into their illustrations.

The new version uses the Microsoft Office Fluent User Interface, made popular with the introduction of Microsoft Office 2007.

Users can download a free trial of SmartDraw from the company’s website, and may also purchase online.
