Renaissance distributes NetComm 3G cellular products in New Zealand
Renaissance has been appointed the exclusive representative for NetComm industrial 3G cellular products in New Zealand.

Gary Rogers, brand manager for Renaissance’s emerging technologies, says the company is bringing the NetComm industrial product range to the country. “We are very pleased to be working with NetComm to bring such a proven and reliable product set to the New Zealand market. With the major carriers now aligned on mobile network technologies, customers are able to choose a single-base product design from NetComm that utilises a common, universal cellular technology” says Rogers.

He adds that “The past restrictions of mobile coverage, speed, latency and price continue to disappear with the emergence of mega-bit speed networks providing 97% population coverage at a reasonable cost. Cellular networks are now viable transports for real-time data intensive communications in either primary or back-up applications”.

Available in New Zealand now are the first industrial 3G routers designed for the soon to be launched Telecom New Zealand 850MHz WCDMA network and the upgraded Vodafone 900MHz WCDMA network.

Industrial routers provide near broadband speeds for machine to machine applications in fixed or mobile environments outside of the areas not serviced by traditional fixed-line technologies. With a range of communication interfaces and protocols, the NetComm industrial routers are designed to meet the exact demands of telemetry and WAN applications.

The built-in reliability and multi-level system monitoring is designed to deliver peace of mind performance in remote and demanding environments. A publicly listed Australian company, NetComm is a leading global provider of data communication solutions and products.

NetComm’s product portfolio includes Networking, Routers, Wireless, VoIP and a strong focus on emerging technologies such as SHDSL, 3G and Commercial solutions.
